Pom-pom drop - Fine Motor Activity

Materials:

  • Empty paper towels or toilet paper rolls

  • Pom poms

  • Construction paper

  • Tape

  • Optional: a bin or box

  • Optional: Tongs


How to Set it up:
  1. Grab a piece of construction paper and measure the height of the paper or toilet paper roll.

  2. Cut the construction paper then wrap it around the roll.

  3. Tape the construction paper on the roll.

  4. Now you can tape the colored paper rolls onto the wall with masking tape. You can tape the rolls going down in a uniformed line or at an angle to allow the pom poms to go through multiple rolls.

  5. Optional: Place a basket on the floor to catch the pom poms and to make it easier to clean up. You can also provide your child with tongs to build hand strength and keep them focus for longer.
